Earlier this week, the Indian IT ministry had put a ban on 118 Chinese apps including the very popular Battle Royale title named “PUBG Mobile”. Although nobody seems to bat an eye about the replacement for the other 117 apps, PUBG Mobile’s replacement has become a highly discussed matter. In this crucial moment, the Indian Bollywood superstar Mr. Akshay Kumar has made a bold announcement regarding India’s very own replacement for PUBG Mobile named “FAU-G (Fearless and United: Guards).
According to the announcement by Akshay Kumar, the game is still under development by nCORE Games, a Bangalore based mobile games and interactive entertainment company. The game “FAU-G” will be under the mentorship of the actor Akshay Kumar himself and 20% of the total revenue generated, will be donated to “Bharat ke veer” trust, dedicated to the Bravehearts of India. This is also an act towards PM’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” movement.
The tweet says:
Supporting PM @narendramodi’s AtmaNirbhar movement, proud to present an action game,Fearless And United-Guards FAU-G. Besides entertainment, players will also learn about the sacrifices of our soldiers. 20% of the net revenue generated will be donated to @BharatKeVeer Trust #FAUG pic.twitter.com/Q1HLFB5hPt

The multiplayer mid-core Third Person Perspective game is expected to be released in October. The first level of the game will be set in Galwan Valley and the subsequent releases will feature different locations.
Earlier this week, the Indian IT Ministry had put a ban on 118 Chinese apps including PUBG Mobile, stating it a threat to the nation’s digital security. According to the official statement, the apps were constantly involved in sending user data to servers located outside India.
PUBG Mobile has been tremendously successful in Asian regions, especially India. India contributes over 175 million installations across all platforms which are 24% of the worldwide figure. The game recorded approximately 33 million present users and an average of 13 million daily active users. FAUG’s launch may benefit the gamers as well as the country’s economy during the pandemic as the huge player base is eager to try out alternatives. What do you think? Will FAU-G replace PUBG Mobile?
