The much-awaited PUBG Mobile World League 2020 Season Zero has been postponed due to an unavoidable bug in iOS that doesn’t allow users to launch the game. The bug only affects users playing on iPhone/iOS, whereas android users can successfully launch and play the game at this moment. It’s believed that the bug appeared today in the afternoon when players tried to start the game, the game kept crashing. After Professional players noticed that they’re not the only ones facing the issue, they posted about the effect on their social media and about the inconvenience it caused ahead of the World League. The Fans started panicking, believing that PUBG Mobile is banned in the country. However, PUBG MOBILE devs are currently aware of the issue and have released a clarification that the problem will be fixed by developers from Apple’s side as soon as possible.

It’s clear that here’s no ban on the game in the country. In fact, the issue is occurring with most of the apps and games on iOS right now. There’s no change in the tournament format or number of matches. PMWL is postponed to 11th July and everything will continue as usual from tomorrow.

The ban rumors spread like fire once the players started talking about it on social media. Earlier this month, Pakistan’s Telecommunications Authority had put a ban on this game in their region temporarily. Also, the Indian Govt’s decision to ban Tiktok & 59 other Chinese apps has made everyone doubtful about PUBG Mobile’s future. However, let’s be assured that the future of Esports in India is safe.
